Tips to Boost Daily Happiness

Take care of your body.

Eat healthy, exercise, and keep a normal sleep schedule.

It seems hard to do these days during isolation, but eating healthy, nutritious foods will help keep your body healthy and you happy.  All too often we stress eat and crave sugary foods then our body craves more sugary foods leading to a downward spiral of yucky feelings and negative moods.  Eating nutritious foods boosts our moods making us feel better and healthier.

Exercise is way to reduce stress and release tension, releasing those feel good endorphins.  Find something physically active whether it be gardening, walking, or strength training to name a few.  Aim for being physically active for 150 minutes a week.  Even breaking that up into bouts of at least 10 minutes each adding up to 150 minutes a week is beneficial.  Bring your workout outside, out into nature, for added stress relief benefits of nature.

Keep your normal sleep schedule.  During this time some of us have become nocturnal, staying up way past our bedtimes and sleeping in late.  Keeping our normal sleep schedule and getting enough sleep is important to boosting our moods and feeling well.
