20-Minute Nature Break

Caleb Keels

Here’s another tip that can help you reduce everyday stress. It’s taking a nature break. While this COVID-19 pandemic has significantly limited various outdoor activities, especially in the Commonwealth, you’re still permitted to take a walk so long as you practice social distancing, meaning you maintain a safe distance of 6 feet from other people. With that in mind, taking a 20-minute nature break from whatever you’re engaged in at the moment can help to promote relaxation and reduce feelings of stress. Below is an great article by Harvard Health that talks about the research regarding the benefits of taking a 20-minute nature break. I truly hope that you find this tip to be greatly beneficial during this unprecedented and difficult time that our country is facing right now.
