This internship accelerates both technical and leadership development and provides an opportunity to learn about finance for a $7 billion industrial business through practical application of financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Execute accounting routines required to complete monthly and quarterly financial closings
2. Post and create journal entries for US entities
3. Book and reconcile US cash transactional data
4. Create and run reports in data warehouse environments
5. Build and manage relationships with various internal customers/departments within the Americas
6. Prepare and Review monthly/quarterly Account Reconciliations
7. Create monthly and quarterly closing analytics for distribution to upper management
8. Provide assistance with the deliverables for external and internal North American audits
9. Additional ADHOC Reporting as required

• Pursuing a Business Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a 3.0/4.0 GPA

Great opportunity for recent or soon to graduate student veterans (rank is not a determining factor) for the 2016 Military Veteran Internship Program at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Looking to fill 30 spots with recent veteran graduates who are interested in the Finance industry. This program gives the intern the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of managers and teams. Additionally, there is a historical precedence of interns from this program being hired into full time roles.

There are three lines of business that will be hosting interns; Asset Management, Commercial Bank and Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). During this 12-week internship, participants will join a specified group and work on projects supporting a business. In addition, they will be exposed to various areas of the bank and given the chance to build their network.

As part of the national public broadcasting system, New England Public Radio (NEPR) brings its 166,900 weekly listeners acclaimed news and entertainment programs like All Things Considered and Morning Edition, A Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk. Our locally produced programs feature classical, jazz, and world music, and our own award-winning regional news.

Our mission is to provide the area with diverse news, information, music and cultural programs of the highest quality. NEPR is committed to programs that entertain, educate, and inform in a lively, provocative, varied, and sensitive way. We help listeners explore and enjoy the world around them and enhance the quality of their lives.

Internship opportunities are available in News, Production, Marketing, Digital Media, and our Music Library. These opportunities are designed with two purposes in mind: to provide experience in the student’s area of interest and to help NEPR meet its operational needs. NEPR will conduct an initial screening of applicants and contact finalists for interviews.

NEPR offers paid internships at our Springfield studio for students from the Five Colleges: UMass Amherst and Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges. Internships are available during the summer for students who don’t attend those schools; however, priority is given to students from the Five Colleges. In addition, three paid internships per year are available to students from Berkshire Community College.
