New England Public Radio – Paid Internship – Pittsfield, MA

New England Public Radio Intern – Berkshire Community College

As part of the national public broadcasting system, New England Public Radio (NEPR) brings its 166,900 weekly listeners acclaimed news and entertainment programs like All Things Considered and Morning Edition, A Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk. Our locally produced programs feature classical, jazz, and world music, and our own award-winning regional news.

Our mission is to provide the area with diverse news, information, music and cultural programs of the highest quality. NEPR is committed to programs that entertain, educate, and inform in a lively, provocative, varied, and sensitive way. We help listeners explore and enjoy the world around them and enhance the quality of their lives.

Internship opportunities are available in News, Production, Marketing, Digital Media, and our Music Library. These opportunities are designed with two purposes in mind: to provide experience in the student’s area of interest and to help NEPR meet its operational needs. NEPR will conduct an initial screening of applicants and contact finalists for interviews.

NEPR offers paid internships at our Springfield studio for students from the Five Colleges: UMass Amherst and Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges. Internships are available during the summer for students who don’t attend those schools; however, priority is given to students from the Five Colleges. In addition, three paid internships per year are available to students from Berkshire Community College.
