Hands-On Smartboard/Synchroneyes

CTL just finished up a series of three repeating Hands-On workshops with Smartboard and Synchroneyes, led by Nicole Mooney, BCC English adjunct faculty. The sessions focused on, well, hands-on approaches to using the tools. Participants, sometimes hesitantly, were called up to the board and interacted with it under Nicole’s helpful guidance. Sometimes the group answered questions collectively, such as “what’s the process for saving the smartboard annotations as a pdf? (File>Export). Many saw advantages to using Synchroneyes in the classroom, from simple applications like blocking access to all but a few websites, to having student work displayed on everyone’s terminal for class discussion.

Planning is underway for another Hands-On series that would focus on different departments’ needs. Thanks Nicole for a great job!
