Reflection Learning workshop

On March 25, Deb Rustay of the Nursing faculty discussed her process and thoughts about reflection and journaling. She distributed her rubric for students, as well as a few examples of student journals to show the range of work. The reflection writing was directed to enhance student’s critical thinking skills about their clinical nursing experiences. While description and knowledge were important in the work, the goal of the reflection is to develop the ability to apply, analyze, and think creatively about how to apply knowledge in diverse or new situations.
