The City of Pittsfield is seeking a clerk to provide administrative and organizational support to the Human Rights Commission.
Attendance is required at evening meetings for purposes of recording minutes.
Annual stipend: $1,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Communicates with committee chair for preparation of meeting agenda and materials.
- Distributes meeting materials to committee members
- Ensures that all meetings are properly posted in accordance with applicable State laws
- Maintains an organized record keeping system of committee documents
- Transcription of minutes, preparation of agenda, and other miscellaneous tasks are to be completed on clerk’s own time and not during regular work hours.
Qualifications:
- Experience in clerking for local government committees preferred
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Solid organizational skills and ability for accuracy
- Experience in filing, photocopying, scanning, emailing, and other basic office functions.
