The Pulp & Paper division has a Full-time opportunity for an Assembler in our Lenox, MA location.​
The Assembler will plan, layout and perform a variety of electrical and electronic assembly, testing and troubleshooting operations involved with mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic control systems and equipments.​
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
” Perform a variety of electro-mechanical assembly and testing operations on control panels.​
” Check and test sub-panels for conformance to specifications.​
” Perform layout, drilling, tapping, fitting and alignments, as required for component hardware and the installation of controls to machines and equipment.​
” Install switches, gauges, control buttons, pilot lights, meters and other purchased subassemblies in proper alignment and location.​
” Install and connect sub-panels and piping.​
” Check for leaks and make electrical tests in conjunctions with air test.​
” Make required adjustments to meet performance standards.​
” Clean, touch up and perform necessary work to prepare for shipment.​
” Lay out, install and assemble wiring and controls to machines and equipment.​
” Perform electrical test, install control panels, and adjust micro switches and other timing devices.​
” Check electrical continuity and replace parts, as required.​
” Receive direction from Supervisor and collaborate with responsible Engineer to load and test programmable controller programs.​
” Work from work orders, specifications, prepared programs, material lists, drawings and general instructions to meet quality and quantity standards.​
” Use precision transducer calibrator to determine resistor values required meeting specifications.​

POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS
” High School diploma or equivalent.​
” Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.​
” Ability to write routine correspondence, and give verbal instruction.​
” Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume.​ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.​
” Ability to operate overhead and jib cranes
