Title:                           Program Supervisor for Community Staffing

Work Location:       Northampton, MA

Rate of Pay:             $18.25 per hour

Hours of Work         40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

(Schedule may include some evenings and weekends)

Employee Profile:Community Staffing is an employment recruiting program that works with business clients throughout the region to help find the best talent offering a combination of temporary and direct hire options. The Program Supervisor provides direct oversight of all day-to-day activities of the program while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with business clients, temporary workers and internal and external business partners. S/he assures that all contractual agreements and objectives are met, and the operations are managed within budgetary limits. Associate’s degree with seven years related experience or Bachelor’s degree with five years related experience. Demonstrated experience in recruitment and hiring of staff with workforce development experience, supervisory and office coordination skills desired. Driver’s license good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport program participants in personal and/or agency vehicle required. Implements the organization’s mission and values by supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Bilingual/bicultural experience is an asset.

Employee Profile:

The Job Coach orients, trains, and supervises workers with disabilities within community businesses. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills; ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs; knowledge and respect for diverse population; access to vehicle, good driving record, and willingness to drive individuals in the program; desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life. Specific duties include working one-to-one in training and supervising individual with disabilities within a community business.  High School Diploma with one year of paid employment, community service and/or training; human service experience desired. Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport program participants in own and/or agency vehicle.  Bilingual/bicultural experience an asset.

BUILDING INSPECTIONS DEPARTMENT
The Building Inspections Department is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Senior Clerk Typist. Candidates will perform the following duties: application processing and collection for required inspections; data entry for building; electrical and plumbing inspectors; ability to generate statistical and standard record reports for submittal to local & state agencies; post and maintain general records; filing and storage of building permits, drawings, certificates of occupancy, and certificates of inspection; and other assigned duties. Applicants must have the capabilities and willingness to learn new software, such as Govern, and be able to perform various administrative and clerical duties which will include but are not limited to: answering telephone, assisting walk-ins, and handling public and internal inquiries. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Applicant should be well organized and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
35 Hours per week

Salary: $13.65-$14.35 per hour
