Title:                    Day Activities Coordinator (1 position)

Work Location:    Greenfield, MA

Hours:                  37.5 hours per week, flexible includes some weekends/evenings

Position Grade:   8

Type of Program: Community-based day activities and employment

Employee Profile:

The Day Activities Coordinator develops services that assist individuals with disabilities to become more independent and engaged in the activities of the local community.  Responsibilities include developing and implementing community day activities such as recreational, socialization, volunteerism, job development and placement, educational opportunities and wellness initiatives.   The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills both oral and written; ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs; knowledge and respect for diverse population. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, access to vehicle, and willingness to drive individuals in the program. Desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life a must. Associate’s degree plus one year experience or High School diploma plus three years related experience and/or training. One year of supervisory or human service experience desired. Bilingual/bicultural experience an asset.
