I love pajamas!

I’m sure we all can agree that being stuck inside watching Netflix and doing chores around the house is getting quite old quickly. We may all be realizing in the coming days that we need more than snacks, Instagram and mindless television to help us while we are isolated from one another to keep us from getting caught up in our own thoughts. So why not take a true “staycation” from your couch or even your bed and browse some of the most world renown pieces of art and music. Let yourself get lost in the beauty and wonder of these magnificent works of art and mindfully be present in the moment. Where we may be limited in our physical movement our minds have the ability to take us anywhere we can imagine.

Due to closures there are a number of museums from around the world that are offering virtual tours of some of their most popular exhibits and concerts online. If they aren’t offering virtual tours yet, they are offering high-resolution images of their most popular pieces for the public to enjoy. It is not only a great way to not only distract us from our current circumstances, it’s also a great way to learn something new! So explore at your leisure and let yourself get lost in the beauty and help fight those stuck-in-the-house blues.

Using technology to help us stay connected with our friends, family and co-workers is just one way that technology can help us with the feeling of isolation. Technology also offers us the chance to attend a variety events through virtual reality where you can interact with others in real time. Remember taking time out to relax and do some self-care activities is an important part to staying healthy both physically and mentally.
