Berkshire County Forecast – Friday, Dec. 2

The following forecast is provided by Brittany Menard and Brennan Polidoro, in conjunction with theĀ  instructor, as part of lab work for the Introduction to Meteorology course:

Summary: A weak cold front will come through the region later today, with minimal chance of a snow shower, and will be followed by a fair weather high pressure system for the weekend. Saturday will be sunny and seasonably cold. It should remain fair with milder temperatures on Sunday as the high pressure system moves off the coast and its clockwise circulation generates a warmer southwest flow for Berkshire County.

Friday

Partly sunny.

High temperatures in the low to mid 40s.

Southwest wind at 5-10 mph.

Friday Night

Clearing and cold.

Low temperatures in the low 20s.

Winds shifting to the northwest. Winds will be gusty early with winds speeds 10-20 mph then dropping off to 5-10 mph.

Saturday

Sunny and seasonably cold.

High temperatures in the upper 30s in the hilltowns, low 40s elsewhere, possibly reaching the mid 40s in some parts of South County.

Winds light and variable.

Saturday Night

Mostly clear.

Low temperature in the upper 20s.

Winds south-southeast at 5-10 mph, becoming light after midnight.

Sunday

Partly cloudy and milder than Saturday.

High temperature in the low 50s.

South-southwesterly winds at 5-15 mph.
