Twenty faculty gathered for a Voicethread Workshop on May 20 with EdTech Teachers leader Beth Holland. We learned how to use Voicethread, a cloud-based application that allows instructors to upload, share and discuss documents, presentations, images, audio files and videos with students. Students can then comment on the Voicethreads by using a microphone, webcam, text, phone, or audio-file upload.
The workshop featured both skill-building with Voicethread with faculty using headsets to record audio narrations, and pedagogical considerations and discussions. A follow-on workshop is scheduled for June 18th to learn how to integrate Voicethreads with the Moodle Learning Management System.
