Summer Intern Position Description:
Flying Cloud Institute offers opportunities for mature, well-rounded, and people-oriented individuals who are interested in getting real work experience in a vibrant nonprofit education organization. The energy, intelligence and commitment of FCI’s intern will provide a valuable contribution to our mission and to our students’ lives. Interns will serve in several areas of the Institute throughout their assignment. Successful candidates will assist with a broad range of programs and administrative efforts including FCI’s Young Women in Science, Professional Development, nonprofit management, SMArt Summer, and preparations for classroom residencies. Hours are flexible, with both part time and full time options.
Intern Qualifications:
Applicants must be service oriented and interested in working with young people and educators to develop creative learning experiences that build science literacy and critical thinking. Experience and/or education in, a STEM discipline, the Arts, Human Service or elementary education is helpful. Must have at least one successful work experience and be able to meet the time commitment agreed upon. A valid driver’s license is required for most positions.
