The Lab Technician is responsible for the preparation of various product development samples, reports, performing a variety of tests and recording results.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Maintains sample department; prepares, product and literature packages and ships in sheet form (8 ½” X 11”) and/or roll form as requested by customers
- Create hand sheets for internal development efforts and/or customer samples
- Perform requested testing of hand sheets
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of all data and information applicable to development efforts
- Coordinate and ensure timely completion and follow-up on all outsourcing of tests
- Proper maintenance of all lab chemicals, ensuring accurate labeling and shelf life
- Maintenance and updating of Material Safety Data Sheets notebook and communications to appropriate personnel regarding revisions
- Ensure any new materials entering the lab have been approved by the R & D Manager and Safety & Environmental Manager
- Provide support to other R & D team members as defined by the director

- Excellent record keeping skills and attention to detail
Skills & Qualifications:
Chemistry lab techniques, Product Testing, Laboratory Equipment Instrumentation and Calibrations, Personnel Planning& Scheduling, Knowledge of OSHA & ISO 9001, Excellent background in Microsoft Wood, Excel & PowerPoint
This is a two day a week position and we can afford flexibility around scheduling and class schedules.
