The Full Time High School Equivalency Instructor is responsible for the direct delivery of high school equivalency instruction and case management for Young Parents, WIOA Youth, SSYI/PCC and any other youth education programs contracted by the agency.
Essential Duties:
- Assessment of student academic levels
- Monitoring progress and addressing academic barriers
- Facilitate individual and group learning projects
- Active preparation and presentation of adolescent sexual health curriculum activities
- Plan, schedule and supervise local educational field trips
- Maintain knowledge of community partners and service agencies
- Documentation of services in the Massachusetts One Stop Employment System
- Occasional after hours and/or weekend duties as needed or scheduled
- Arrange internships and work experiences for students with area businesses and agencies
Required Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in related field
- Experience working with youth
- Knowledge of or experience working with low-income populations
- Knowledge of community resources and services
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Must pass a CORI background check
Salary:
- Base Salary $35,000 per year, with additional compensation based on education and experience.
Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
