The Mental Health Association, located in Springfield, MA, is seeking an innovative, mission-driven CEO. MHA is a nonprofit provider of residential and support services for people with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals throughout the Greater Springfield area. MHA’s core values of respect, integrity and compassion guide decision-making and daily operations. The successful candidate will have the ability to oversee strategy and tactical implementation of operational, business, and financial plans to ensure the delivery of high quality, responsive services. Additionally, the CEO will provide collaborative, team-oriented leadership both internally and externally. Other responsibilities include:
- Creation and oversight of organizational priorities, policies, programs and controls;
- Development of a proactive, positive culture reflective of MHA’s core values;
- Management of fiscal operations in collaboration with finance team to ensure stability, risk mitigation and accurate fiscal control and reporting;
- Serve as a liaison to funders and other groups and individuals key to MHA’s operation;
- Staff management with a focus on development, retention and support of employees;
- Oversight of resource development efforts through exploration of new grants, donors, etc.;
- Collaboration and engagement with Board of Directors and senior leadership team and development of mission-focused expertise to drive efficacy and future growth.
Requirements include: Master’s degree in related field (human services, business administration, etc.); 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in residential programs and/or human services; ability to build collaboration and consensus while managing for continued operational excellence and service to constituencies with the organization and larger community.
