TELEMESSAGING OPERATOR
1.GENERAL: The following job description outlines the basic requirements and skills expected of a person employed as a Telephone Secretary by Berkshire Communicators, Inc. Job performance evaluations, raises and promotions will be based on these guidelines. The Telephone Secretary will be completely familiar with the operating policies of BCI and all the equipment he or she will be required to operate. The Telephone secretary will present themselves in the proper attire at their appointed time prepared to resume their shift. The Telephone Secretary shall report to the Supervising Operator for that shift or the Manager of Operations.
2. TAS:
A. Answer all calls as a professional telephone secretary exercising proper call control, unhurried and pleasant, while ensuring that the customer’s instructions are followed.
B. Take, store, give out, record, distribute and send to printers/faxes/e-mails/alpha pagers all messages from incoming calls and client changes, (accurately) to ensure proper names, places, events, and numbers are appropriately recorded and passed on.
C. Be able to remain professionally in control in crisis periods.
D. Provide prompt and Courteous service to both clients and their callers.
E. Be dependable and reliable.
F. Run reports as necessary.
G. Maintain office equipment.
3. ALARM MONITORING;
A. Answer alarms as expeditiously as possible taking care to provide the proper response.
B. Log all alarms and maintain alarm records
C. Maintain accurate alarm status follow-up to open or questionable alarms.
SECURITY/CONFIDENTIALITY;
A. Maintain building security admitting only authorized personnel.
b. Maintain customer confidentiality to ensure no information, what so ever, leaves the premise or is discussed with anyone off the premise.
5. REQUIREMENTS;
A. Minimum age 17
B. Ability to take and successfully pass BCI spelling and grammar test
C. Take and successfully pass a drug test
D. Possess good communications, and people skills
E. Be a team player
F. High School Graduate or GED
G. Sign a BCI privacy agreement
H. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check |
Requirements : |
Answering service operator: Part time positions available. Shifts include nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility is an essential requirement in order to meet the company’s needs. Additional hours filing in for vacations and sick/personal time are always available. Competitive wages and three weeks paid training.
Qualifications: Excellent spelling skills, familiarity with a keyboard, a pleasant, well modulated telephone voice, upbeat personality, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
