Our, busy, well known, historic B & B, The Cornell Inn, with multiple buildings in Lenox, MA, is looking to find a wonderful part-time Front Desk Agent willing to work between 18-20 hours during the peak season and the possibility of working 15-20 hours during the off season. This position would require working weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
We are looking for someone who:
- Interacts with guests in a respectful, cheerful, and polite manner to effectively service their needs.
- Can establish working knowledge of all rates, packages, and booking restrictions.
- Can learn the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
- Will resolve all guest issues in an expeditious and diplomatic manner and record necessary information for next shift and management.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
- Is sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
- Will work closely with housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance/repair work.
- Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, check-cashing and cash-handling policies and procedures.
- Answers the phone and uses proper telephone etiquette.
- Can make and confirm reservations over the phone and those submitted online.
- Can maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, even in a stressful situation.
- Is available to work on weekends and holidays.
- Has previous hotel/bed and breakfast experience.
- Can lift up to 25lbs
