OpenSky is looking for a Network Engineer with an understanding of consulting work, some hands-on networking experience, and a strong desire to learn on the job. This is an operational position with the opportunity to learn a variety of network infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day problem investigation and resolution services
• Participate in off-hours on-call rotation
• Create and maintain network-related documentation, including ensuring all devices are configured and updated within the appropriate management platform(s)
• Assist with the implementation of new network components relative to approved projects
• Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

• Basic level of understanding of routing and switching technologies

• Experience with Cisco Systems’ routing and switching platforms preferred
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise wireless solutions preferred
•  2 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with networking technologies or equivalent coursework
•  Strong analytical skills and solid written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and a strong desire to learn
