Director of Development

Berkshire United Way seeks a driven, self-directed, and results-oriented professional to execute fundraising plan. Secure $3 million in resources annually, oversees the management of over 200 workplace campaigns, secures corporate gifts and sponsorships and maintains communication with over 8,000 donors. Reporting to the CEO and working with a team of passionate staff, volunteers and Board of Directors, the DOD implements year round donor prospecting, cultivation and stewardship strategies, including individual donor meetings, to grow and deepen relationships with donors, business leaders and the community. The DOD works closely with marketing staff on donor communications, recognition and events. Ensures accurate record keeping of donor contacts and activities, pledges and payments and produces reports, analysis and recommendations to CEO and Board. Mentors, motivates and inspires staff, volunteers and Board to attain goals and pursue excellence.

Five years successful fundraising experience including project management, donor prospecting and stewardship, utilization of constituent relationship management software and Bachelor’s degree required. Three years supervisory experience preferred.
