WATER MACHINERY REPAIRPERSON
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC UTILITIES – WASTEWATER DIVISION

The City of Pittsfield is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Water Machinery Repairperson within the Department of Public Utilities. The repairperson will install, maintain, and repair equipment used in the distribution, collection, and treatment of potable and non-potable water and sewage. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing periodic preventative maintenance; emergency troubleshooting; performing minor and/or incidental repairs on mhttp://blogs.berkshirecc.edu/careers/wp-admin/post-new.phpotorized equipment and vehicles; and other related work as assigned.

The desired candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Massachusetts driver’s license, Class D
• Two (2) years’ experience in repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment related to the water treatment facility operations
• Valid grade 1 MA Drinking Water Operator’s License (within two years of appointment)
• Valid grade 1 MA Treatment Plant Operator’s license (within two years of appointment)

Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 4:00PM
Salary: $16.10 per hour
