 Position:   PROGRAM MANAGER

Program/Dept: BERKSHIRE PATHWAYS – A clubhouse model program located in Pittsfield which provides employment, job readiness, education and other support services to adults with mental illness.

Schedule:  Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with some evenings, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

¨       BA in human service related field with five years human service experience, including two years in mental health  OR MA in related field with two years in mental health

¨       At least four years of management experience including fully supervising staff

¨       Strong leadership, problem-solving, management and communication skills

¨       Budget management experience

¨       Demonstrated leadership skills

¨       Excellent organization, problem solving and communication skills

¨       Clubhouse model and/or psychiatric rehabilitation experience a plus

¨       Demonstrated respect for the rights and abilities of people with disabilities

¨       Knowledge of Berkshire County services and community very helpful

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide leadership in the operation and development of a psychosocial rehabilitation clubhouse newly located in Pittsfield, MA serving adults with mental illness in the Berkshire area.
  2. Ensure that the essential features of the clubhouse model are implemented and that the program adheres to ICCD and CARF standards.
  3. Demonstrate visible, active leadership within the program and in the community, building networks and promoting the program positively to the Berkshire County community.
  4. Supervise program staff and all components, creating a high-performance team.
  5. Oversee program budget and work with administrative office to ensure fiscal and program operations meet department and agency regulations, policies and procedures.
