I also possess a wide range of personal skills in addition to my educational and professional abilities. These include strong communication skills, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.

Connecting with others and communication is another skill that I have developed through theatre. I have learned to trust and connect with my castmates and directors. In college, I have learned to communicate with my professors for help and discuss with my classmates more. Discussion posts, feeling comfortable with emails, and conversing with others have all helped me build connections with people I may not have otherwise connected with. Due to this, I can easily build relationships and understand anyone I meet.

My ability to empathize and understand others’ emotions has been developed through my close work with others and effective communication. This skill allows me to work seamlessly with others and advocate for their needs which is particularly helpful in many tasks that involve multiple individuals. The liberal arts course that I have taken at BCC has also taught me how to use my adaptability in a creative way to generate new ideas and concepts that can help others.
