2024 Resume-Clarise Seguin

Below is some academic works that I created here at BCC!

Wes Anderson’s Influence on Indie Style Films and American Film (2)

This essay was written for my Honors Composition class taken here at BCC. In this class we were allowed to pick a subject and then told to write a 15 page paper about the topic. For my topic I decided to write about Wes Anderson, a popular independent film maker. In this paper I discuss his style and his impact on the indie style of aesthetics and American independent film. Writing this paper taught me how to format correctly, and how to delve deeply into a topic when writing such a long paper on a formal topic. It has held a strong impact and it has changed my writing for the better since.

Wes Anderson’s Influence on the Independent Film Industry

This slideshow goes along with the Wes Anderson essay and helps the reader see visuals of Wes Anderson’s style as well as a brief overview of what the essay is about, in a summed up and easily digestible form.

Recreating Master Artists Work_Brief History_ Clarise Seguin (2)

This slideshow was created for my Liberal Arts class at BCC. For the project students were given the option to create artworks that reflect what they learned here at BCC. At BCC I learned how to make art and draw the human form in classes such as figure drawing, and I also learned about the history behind famous artists and art pieces in my Art History classes. So I combined these skills and interests and decided to recreate famous artists masterpieces. I also gave background behind each piece, as well as the process I went through to recreate them. This project gave me insight on careers that I want to pursue, and it also let me to express my creativity in a very open way.

Critical Skills:

-Time management

-Teamwork

-Adaptability

-Communication

-Self Management

These are all skills that I have adapted from a variety of different classes taught here at BCC. Multiple times in different classes I have had to work as a team to create projects together an example of such was having to do group work in classes such as sociology. Every class I have had has helped aid me in learning time management skills, without having proper time management homework and assignments would not be getting done on time. Time management has been a long learning process, but such an important skill to have. I would say that all of my classes collectively have helped me gain this skill. Self management has also been a skill I have learned from all of my classes, self management are important, as they help improve yourself and the quality of the work that you create. Through self management you learn how to adapt to new situations and new assignments pushed into your direction, all of these skills tie into each other and all were collectively acquired from each class that I took. There is no one specific class that gave me these skills, I have ultimately learned them all just from my time being here at Berkshire Community College.
