Medical Scribe

America is a company that hires and trains “Scribes” for Emergency Medicine Physicians. Our company is currently looking to recruit students to work as Scribes in the Emergency Department at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA. The scribe will work one on one with board certified emergency physicians assisting with documentation for each patient evaluated by the doctor. It is an exceptional opportunity for any student interested in medicine to gain first-hand experience following a physician in an emergency department setting.

The role of a scribe is to closely collaborate with their assigned ER physician by documenting the history of each patient evaluated, the doctor’s physical examination, the results of laboratory/radiological studies ordered, and the eventual diagnosis and disposition.  Becoming a scribe provides the student with first rate exposure to medical terminology, disease processes, emergency procedures, medications, and the medical decision making process performed by ER physicians.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and both classroom and clinical training are paid.

Pharmacy Technician

A Pharmacy Technician is wanted.

Working in a Pharmacy would be a great stepping stone for someone learning about medications and medical terminology.

The hours could be full-time, or 2 part-time, or other arrangements. The corporate office provides training to those accepted (after working 500 hours a State test for certification may be taken). Generally hours are before 6:00 PM and no weekends (unless that is what availability )

Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting team based in North Adams, Massachusetts.  In this position you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and the company payroll. The accounts payable functions will comprise approximately 75% of this position while the payroll functions will comprise the remaining 25%.

Since 1801, this luxury brand has produced 100% cotton quality paper for personalized notes, business stationery, wedding invitations, birth announcements, calling cards and more. The business produces elegant stationery under the William Arthur, Vera Wang and Crane & Co. brands for personal and corporate customers worldwide. The Company has over 250 employees most of whom are located at the manufacturing facility in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working on cross functional teams to streamline AP process improvements
• Running monthly Accounts Payable financial integrity reports
• Processing freight bills in system for merchandise received and/or shipped, ensuring freight charges are applied to correct G/L accounts
• Processing check requisitions from internal departments for miscellaneous expenses (i.e. permits, licenses) and accurately entering expense vouchers into system
• Processing year end 1099 Tax information and editing reports ensuring that 1099 reporting information to the IRS is accurate
• Processing payroll for both the weekly/hourly and monthly/salary paid employees
• Ensuring the accuracy of both the input and the output from the system
• Assisting HR in maintaining employee master data as it pertains to compensation changes. • Maintaining all records pertaining to payroll and payroll deductions

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• Experience with integrated Accounting, Purchasing and Inventory Management Systems
• Knowledge of/experience with outside payroll systems
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and stress involving deadlines
• Manual dexterity and visual accuracy required to work with accounting systems
• Ability to represent the Company in a professional and positive way to all existing/potential vendors and develop rapport where possible.  An adaptive and accommodating demeanor is essential given cultural and other diversity among vendors
• ERP System experience, experience with JD Edwards a plus

Supported Living Coordinator

The Supported Living Coordinator provides direct outreach services to individuals with disabilities to enable them to achieve greater independence. Develops and maintains positive working relationships that assist consumers in achieving self-fulfillment through their life goals and desires. $17.75/hour. 37.5 hours/week, may include evenings and weekends.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate must possess organizational and creative abilities, as well as the ability to work independently in a team environment, and be flexible to meet program needs. Knowledge of community agency systems and group and individual counseling skills are required.  A broad range of interpersonal skills and good public relations manner is essential to effectively work with program participants, community households, and other professionals. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations is required.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with five years related experience OR Master’s degree in human service field and three years related experience.

Other Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license, three years driving experience, acceptable driving record, the use of a vehicle, and the willingness to transport program participants in a personal and/or agency vehicle.  Desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life a must. Fluency in Spanish desired.  Blingual/Bicultural experience is an asset
