Accountant- Grants and Contracts

A dynamic and growing, Hampshire-County based non-profit seeks an experienced, detail-oriented accountant to handle grants and contracts.  Join a fast-paced and collegial team, overseeing key duties including:

  • Budget and proposal development as related to specific programs and grants.
  • Compliance and reporting for grant awards, including adherence to grant terms and/or federal guidelines.
  • Accurate and timeline processing of contracts, invoices and reports, working in collaboration with program staff.
  • Accurate data management related to grant finances, utilizing a proprietary accounting system.
  • General ledger, AP, A/R and procurement responsibilities.

 

Requirements include: B.A. in related field; 2+ years of experience, preferably in non-profit, research of non-profit field; outstanding excel, MS Office skills required, fund accounting software knowledge preferred; strong GAAP and OMB requirement knowledge.

CTSB is currently accepting applications for the position of Meeting Videographer–a parttime position ranging from 10-20 hours per month (3-5 evenings per month).

Duties include:

  • Set-up and breakdown of production equipment including tripods, camera, audio and transmission equipment.
  • Coverage of government meetings within the 5 towns of Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Sheffield.
  • Coverage of school committee meetings within the 4 school districts of Lenox, Lee, Southern Berkshire and Berkshire Hills.
  • Coverage of community events as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • One year of field video recording experience, including camera and audio.
  • Proficiency with computers and file transferring.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment.
  • Clean, professional appearance and manner.
  • Must be extremely reliable, organized and punctual.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.

 

Pay Rate:

  • $13/hour starting
  • $0.52/mile transportation reimbursement (CTSB to meeting venue round trip)
