Admissions Clerk

The Admissions Clerk helps to coordinate office procedures supportive of maintaining accurate admissions files of graduate and undergraduate applicants in the Office of Admissions.  The Clerk will serve as the first point of contact for all constituents seeking admission, providing information to in person, over the telephone, and via email.  Responsible for the office calendar, the Clerk will assist in tour guide assignments, applicant interview meetings, and travel for the Admissions counseling staff.  The Clerk will also: maintain files and data input on multiple software programs; maintain and track admission literature distribution; manage intake, filing, and distribution of all applicant credentials; assist with inputting applications into the student records system; will assist with the processing of student payments in conjunction with the Office of Student Accounts; and update appropriate Admissions web pages along with managing other electronic media outlets (such as Facebook and Twitter) on behalf of the department.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred
  • Three years of relevant office experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to greet campus visitors in a cordial and welcoming fashion
  • Knowledge and experience inputting data (managing application processes) with electronic records system, required
  • Advanced computer skills: must be experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software packages applicable to processing admissions reporting
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to process data in an accurate manner, with high attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Prior Admissions experience a plus

Development and Donor Relations Assistant

Successful and stable Pittsfield-based charitable organization focused on land conservation seeks an energetic, organized, detail-oriented person to help with development and donor relations.  Task areas will include database management, donor research, scheduling, occasional grant-writing, correspondence, coordination of publications, and public outreach. Clerical duties are a significant component of the job, but for a person with ideas and initiative there’s great opportunity for growth and creativity in areas of fundraising, communications and personal outreach. 40 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Experience in non-profit donor relations or customer relations very helpful

Technical Service Representative

Job Description:

  • Develops knowledge of polymer materials and test methods and how to communicate common polymer test practices, specimen requirements, pricing and scheduling to customers and potential clients. Training available
  • Ensures timely follow up and follow through on requests
  • Tracks and analyze status of leads, quotes and lost business
  • Uses common and company-specific systems (CRM, quoting, accounting and scheduling systems) to provide and track information, while ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of all data entries
  • Supports marketing and sales when necessary including web, e-mail, customer visits, sales calls
  • Provides administrative support, when appropriate
  • Provides support to the Customer Service Department

Requirements:

  • AS/BS degree in a relevant program (business, science, technical) or related experience in a sales support or customer service role or technical field
  • Understanding of common polymer materials test methods (ASTM, ISO, other) a plus
  • Ability to interact externally with clients/prospects, and internally with other departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction and timely response
  • Excellent organization, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on multiple tasks
  • Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office); CRM, LIMS and PeopleSoft preferred (not necessary)
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced, multitasking, client oriented environment
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented

Firefighter / Emergency Medical Technician

Position located in the town of Wilbraham

Position requires a valid Mass. driver’s license, must be Min. Mass. EMT-D certified, preference given to applicants who have completed the Mass. Firefighting Recruit Program and offer work experience with an organized Fire Department. Must not smoke and must meet Massachusetts medical and physical agility test standards.

The Town offers a base hiring rate of $921.31/wk, (EMT-D 10%, EMT-I 14%, EMT-P 16%); union positions w/ full benefits, 24 hr shifts (1-on; 1-off; 1-on; 5-off).
