Our company is currently looking to recruit students to work as Scribes in the Emergency Department at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, MA. The scribe will work one on one with board certified emergency physicians assisting with documentation for each patient evaluated by the doctor. It is an exceptional opportunity for any student interested in medicine to gain first-hand experience following a physician in an emergency department setting.

The role of a scribe is to closely collaborate with their assigned ER physician by documenting the history of each patient evaluated, the doctor’s physical examination, the results of laboratory/radiological studies ordered, and the eventual diagnosis and disposition.  Becoming a scribe provides the student with first rate exposure to medical terminology, disease processes, emergency procedures, medications, and the medical decision making process performed by ER physicians.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and both classroom and clinical training are paid.

Production Worker

Compensation: $13.00 – $16.00/hour commensurate with experience and/or potential fit

Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Performs casting in addition to other production tasks to complete products in accordance with job order and/or written/verbal instructions.
  • Performs inspection of completed product in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Updates production completion status in the computer on a daily basis.
  • Periodically completes assembly responsibilities to include drilling, tapping, routing and sanding.
  • Moves finished products between stations and shipping area as needed.
  • Reports problems or discrepancies to management.
  • Operates shop equipment and machinery in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Maintains clean, orderly and safe work area at all times.
  • Assists in maintaining the fabrication/casting raw material inventory.
  • Notifies management of equipment malfunctions, injuries, or related occurrences.

 
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
