Production Coordinator

Lenco is seeking an experienced and energetic Production Coordinator to work in our Manufacturing Production Facility.  Primary responsibilities include tracking and reporting of vehicle production hours, support of basic root cause analyses and general coordination with the Production Manager on a day-to-day basis, as necessary.  This position requires excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.  Qualified candidates should also possess computer skills (Microsoft Office), database management experience and manufacturing production experience.

9-5:30pm, lunch 12-12:30pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, Analyze and Input Project / Vehicle Production Hour Forms into monthly chart
  • Update existing sub-assembly time study chart on an ongoing basis
  • Daily meetings with Production Manager to discuss key ‘work in progress’ focus points
  • Utilize Hour Forms and Work in Progress Issues to identify day-to-day production needs
  • Assist the various production supervisors with work in progress, as necessary
  • Address real-time production issues as they arise, including material shortages, engineering discrepancies and production flow inefficiencies
  • Support Quality Control functions, as necessary
  • Conduct Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping, as directed by the Production Manager

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 Years’ Experience in a Manufacturing Production Facility preferred
  • Metal Fabrication experience a plus
  • Automotive Experience a plus

Grant Writer

Lenco is seeking a self-motivated and energetic Grant Writer to work in our US Law Enforcement & Government Sales Department.  Primary responsibilities include researching Federal Grant opportunities, speaking with Law Enforcement customers and writing grant narratives.  This position requires excellent communications, research and writing skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.  Qualified candidates should also possess computer skills (Microsoft Office), database management experience and customer service experience

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the Lenco product line consisting of the BEAR and BearCat; their options, variants and uses.  This information would be necessary to help describe the features & benefits of the product to potential customers.
  • Learn the DHS Grant Funding Process.  This includes understanding the criteria and guidelines for equipment purchased under Homeland Security and other Law Enforcement Grants.
  • Work with potential customers in Law Enforcement agencies to help identify sources of grant funding and help them prepare their grant packages for submission.
  • Telephone contact and email contact with Law Enforcement personnel will be a daily, integral part of the position.  A friendly, courteous and professional manner is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both verbally and written.  Must have a desire to help LE agencies achieve their goal of getting funded for a vehicle.
  • Some travel required to Industry Trade Shows for an approximate 3-day trip will be required.  Potentially 6-10 Shows per year.  It is possible some international travel may be required; therefore, a passport will be necessary.
  • Will work closely with Lenco Government Sales Manager to follow up on potential customers in the grant funding cycle.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Internet will be a daily part of the position.
  • Familiarity with federal, state and private sectors and process.
  • Stay up to date on authorized equipment list.

PLAYGROUND SUPERVISOR

The City of Pittsfield’s Recreation Department is seeking a qualified individual to fill the seasonal position of Playground Supervisor. Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Supervisor is responsible for the planning, supervision, and operation of the summer playground program. Duties include, but are not limited to: supervision of playground leaders, development of daily structured programs, record keeping for employees and program, preparation of final program evaluation, and marketing and advertising of the program. The Supervisor is also responsible for holding staff meetings with the leaders during the program for program monitoring. The Supervisor may also perform the duties of the playground leaders.

The individual must work effectively with playground leaders, as well as members of the public. The Supervisor must respond to inquiries and complaints in a positive and professional manner, and respond to situations and emergencies by taking control and prioritizing response acts.

Candidates must be capable of working outside (in sometimes inclement weather), moving freely through the park, and interacting with the program attendees. Must be capable of lifting/carrying 25 pounds.
