Job Description:

Responsible for providing respite support to children and adults assigned, inclusive of providing assistance with social networking, recreational activities, community safety, health care issues, and physical and behavioral challenges. Responsible to supervise and ensure successful implementation of assigned programming. Responsible to develop and implement skill building modules, to develop community partnerships and to engage in collaborative activities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two years successful experience in a human service field
• Demonstrated willingness to carry out programming, as assigned
• Demonstrated ability to design programs/activities, i.e. movie nights, craft projects
• Demonstrated ability to design multi-day or session programs/activities; integrating community resources, i.e. weekend getaways, health series with community vendors as guest speakers
• Valid driver’s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance and proof of annual vehicle inspection required
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Must have some proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Using superior communication skills, the Advisor explains the energy savings opportunities, the process to achieve savings, the financial implications and the return-on-investment.

To be successful at this job, you must be able to work on a tight schedule and organize yourself effectively. You must have strong math skills and an aptitude for scientific and technical concepts. This position is physically demanding and requires driving, climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and moving in attics and crawl spaces.

This is a full-time salaried position with incentive pay and benefits located in our Pittsfield office. Primary work flow/assessment appointments will be scheduled in the Berkshires, MA. Some occasional travel to Northampton office. To qualify, you must have minimum 1 year experience in a field related to energy efficiency. BPI Building Analyst certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Strong math skills with excellent understanding of geometry. Experience with Internet, MS Office software and databases. Ability to learn and perform a variety of diagnostic tests. Must be able to pass drug test, driving and background check. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and use of reliable, registered and insured vehicle with the space to transport supplies and equipment. Must have own smart phone. Director of Community Development

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises department staff; conducts regular performance reviews annually or on an as-needed basis
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Mayor and city departments
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual operating budgets and capital improvement plans
  • Initiation of plans and projects to promote balanced growth, with a focus on job creation, community investment, downtown redevelopment, neighborhood enhancement and natural resource preservation
  • Enhances community relations and outreach for DCD activities
  • Manage $1.2 million annual CDBG entitlement grant in accordance with HUD requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major in relevant field such as planning, architecture, engineering economics or business administration. Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ work in planning, community development and/or economic development, five (5) years’ of which have been in a leadership role(s), with supervisory experience managing employees/staff
  • Leadership skills to initiate, manage, and deliver projects and department services that meet program objectives; Knowledge of practices and procedures in administration of publicly funded projects
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to write business letters, technical analyses, and reports, and to make presentations to small or large audiences
  • Organizational skills for maintaining project files, as well as for scheduling and completing work tasks and assignments in a timely fashion
