2nd Shift Set-up Technician

This position is responsible for all manufacturing process set ups and the setting of machine controls. This includes the preparing of the machine setting up injection molds, temperature control systems and auxiliary equipment supporting the manufacturing process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installs molds as per the production schedule.
  • Sets up mold and ancillary equipment as required per the set up sheet.
  • Verifies and documents all production processes.
  • Works with Process Technician to maintain high quality standards during production runs.
  • Makes proper adjustments to molding process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Works with Maintenance Dept. to maintain production equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Degree required and technical training.
  • Experience: Knowledge of Manufacturing areas and equipment required. 2-3 years plastic injection molding experience preferred
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have legible writing
  • Requires the training and understanding of the production paperwork and all supporting documentation.
  • Must be able to accurately fill out paperwork as required
  • Has basic knowledge of Injection Molding Machine controls and can input approved set-ups into the machines.
  • Can operate fork truck, cranes and lifting equipment for mold set-ups.
  • Has basic computer skills and can be trained on our MRP system.
  • Can perform daily job functions from both written and verbal instructions.
  • Can perform daily job functions in a clean room environment.
