Part-Time 30 hours per week until Dec 31, 2015 then 25 hours/week. Manages all aspects of Berkshire Children and Families’ volunteer court advocate program includes recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers who will advocate for the best interest of child(ren) while involved in the Juvenile Court. Coordinator is responsible for cultivating and maintaining professional intra- and inter-agency relationships, as well as providing community education and awareness of the advocate program. Bachelor’s Degree is required with three years’ experience in human services, child welfare, counseling, juvenile justice and/or education; and/or as a paralegal; Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and computer skills also necessary. Enrichment Child Care Staff, Adams

ENRICHMENT CHILD CARE STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION

General Statement of Duties:
The Enrichment Child Care Staff is an integral member of the Youth Center, Inc. support staff. The main job responsibilities of the Enrichment Child Care Staff include, help with transition from schools, monitoring traffic in and out of the Youth Center, selling snacks, keeping an eye on equipment, playing games, participating in activities with the participants, providing clerical/receptionist/janitorial support, and assisting the Enrichment Coordinator and/ or the Executive Director in the completion of his/her duties. The Enrichment Child Care Staff is also responsible for learning and enforcing the policies of the Youth Center and makes disciplinary referrals to the Executive Director when appropriate.

Supervision Received:
Enrichment Child Care Staffs are supervised by the Enrichment Coordinator and/or the Executive Director of the Youth Center, Inc.

Supervision Exercised:
None

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Greet and assist all members and guests to the Youth Center in a friendly, courteous manner.
2. Keep a numbered count on the members and guests who use the facility.
3. Answer phones, take messages, and make referrals as appropriate.
4. Be familiar with all programs and services offered by the Youth Center and be able to answer questions about these programs and services.
5. Take program registration information both over the phone and in-person from program participants.
6. Respond to all requests for assistance in a helpful manner by providing the appropriate resource and referral information.
7. Become involved with the users of the Drop-In Center in game playing, discussions, etc.
8. Provide clerical support by filing, collating, stapling, and typing.
9. Coordinate the equipment loan process, ensure all equipment is returned in good working order, is stored properly, and is properly secured.
10. Assist in emergency response procedures (i.e. fire alarm evacuation procedures)
11. Appropriately channel and report information about damages, needed repairs, and lost/found items to the Executive Director.
12. Learn and follow all administrative procedures concerning vendors, outside contractors, key usage, etc.
13. Coordinate the selling of food items, including providing change for vending machines.
14. Complete the Daily Log to record all activity occurring during a shift, including phone calls received, usage of Drop-In Center, suspicious/disruptive behavior, etc.
15. Conduct spot checks of the Youth Center rooms, hallways, and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs for cleanliness, damage, vandalism or behavioral issues.
16. Work all scheduled shifts, arriving on time and working the full shift.
17. Clean up after your shift. Requires sweeping and vacuuming of the floors, emptying trash, shutting down computers, putting games away, flushing all toilets, turning off all equipment including lights and locking up (if on closing shift).
18. Other duties as assigned by the Enrichment Coordinator and the Executive Director.

Conditions of Employment:
The Youth Center is open for use by its members from 2:00 – 6:00 PM Monday-Friday. It is expected that the Enrichment Child Care Staff will work their assigned shifts and be on time.
Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY
Perform on-going maintenance on all production equipment and the general building as required.
Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment on a weekly basis.
Troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical problems.
Identify potential problems and addresses them accordingly by working with Production, Engineering, Quality and/or Environment Health & Safety (EHS).
Maintain proper inventory levels with the utilization of the spare parts database.
Initiate purchase requisitions for needed supplies.
Create and close work orders on a daily basis to keep an accurate history of completed and pending tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, Servo’s and plant automation systems.
Multi-craft/multi-skilled in electrical, electrical controls, mechanical and pneumatics
Working and practical knowledge of plant utility systems is highly desirable, (HVAC and compressed air systems)
Associates degree in electronics or associated field from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applied industrial controls experience; Siemens Step7 strongly desired
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Good oral and written communication skills

We’re looking for an Offset Press Operator to join our Stationery team, based in North Adams, MA. We look for bright, hard-working people who want to be a part of a world-class organization known for our exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

This position supports company goals by producing high quality, consistent color, production runs on many substrates.

The Offset Press Operator assists in the production of customer orders by operating advanced offset printing presses to ensure consistent, high quality standards and achieving departmental commitments to print and finish various semi-finished and finished products. These products are manufactured according to complex printing specifications and requirements that include single and multi-color units, multi-color and complex registration, reverses, traps, screens, and specialty papers, using metal direct plates and a variety of inks and varnishes at speeds consistent with plant standards.

Responsibilities:
• Follows procedures and job specifications
• Checks incoming raw materials, as well as incoming and outgoing work to ensure quality
• Operates press
o Performs washup of inking trains, blankets and back cylinders
o Performs makeready (setup):
o Positions pile of paper in feeder within close tolerances
o Precisely positions of sheet of paper on registration board
o Sets delivery
o Inspects and hangs plates
o Develops and maintains correct pressure between plate-to-blanket and between blanket-to-back cylinder using various packing products
o Fills ink fountains
o Precisely registers image to position on sheet of paper
o Develops the proper balance between ink and water
o Obtains run approval
• During run monitors color, registration, image areas, non-image areas, back side of sheet; uses densitometer and records readings to G7 standards; Re-fills fountains (ink and water)
• At completion of run removes plates, performs washup
• Maintains work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition
• Mixes ink according to set formulas to obtain desired color
• Mixes chemicals according to set formulas to obtain correct run balance
• Records job transactions in production data systems through scanning and direct data entry
• Maintains logs and transactional paperwork
• Monitors incoming, unscheduled work and assures that presswork is completed according to specification and in a timely manner
• Repairs and changes blankets
• Monitors supplies and requisitions in a timely manner
• Maintains equipment at regularly scheduled intervals and according to manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations
• Moves material and semi-finished products to/from other manufacturing areas using appropriate equipment
• Observes recycling guidelines
• Reports waste and spoilage daily in accord with procedure
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Minimum 5 years press experience in a commercial printing environment
• Comprehensive understanding of printing process and paper and ink characteristics
• Ability to see and manage color profiles
• Ability to perform clerical and arithmetic skills; must be able to compute basic math problems
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrate the ability to learn to use computer and production data management system for tracking jobs and timekeeping
• Foil stamping, and Bindery experience a plus
• Ability to use soft proofing process for color
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility in changing routine in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Understand and assists with other printing equipment
