JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

To assist in producing quality PC sheet for distribution throughout the world beyond the customers’ expectation.  To make quality sheet to satisfy customer needs through training and experience.  To improve added value to the company. Operation of machine tolerances, specs. materials, location of such and to do all operations in a timely fashion.  Also monitor machine quality, neatness, inspection and packaging.  This is an entry level position.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/OBJECTIVES

1.   During each shutdown and start up process the tender must maintain high housekeeping and 5s principles to ensure quality production.

2.   Ensure length, width, gauge and square are measured and meet shop order requirements.

3.   Complete all start up and shut downs as described in procedures.

4.   Tender are responsible for training new employees and transferred employees to perform entry level tender tasks.

5.   Tender are responsible for understanding their prior day performance and knowing precisely their current day schedule. 

6.   The tender reports to the line operator about 15 minutes before an order is complete.

7.   Tender work with the line operator, mechanic or technician to resolve machine or process failures.

8.   Tender reports all machine and process failures to the shift supervisor.

9.   Tenders are responsible to check conditions of product against the Quality Audit Report Form at the beginning of each shift with the off going tender and at the required intervals.

10.  Tenders are responsible for discussing significant events that occurred during the previous shift with that shifts operator 10 minutes prior to starting the shift.

11.  Tenders are responsible for ensuring that material and supplies are available for the next shift to run four hours before restocking supplies.

12.  Tenders are responsible for knowing their internal/external customers and participating on continuous improvement teams.

13.  Tenders recognize the difference between PC and PETG.

14.  Tenders empty silver barrel.

15.  Tenders keep work area clean.

16.  Tenders assist on all machine start ups.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma, high school math and measurement skills, willingness to work on computer technology, and have an understanding of how information reporting through computer software has an impact on decisions.

Ability to work 12 hour shifts in a routine schedule including Saturdays and Sundays and overtime (mandatory and voluntary) as business demands require.
