Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst

Crane is hiring! We’re looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team, within the Stationery Division, located in North Adams, MA.  We look for bright, hard-working people who want to be a part of a world-class organization.

This position will report to the Director of IT for the division. The Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for systems and business analysis activities related to Crane’s internal IT applications. The position is specifically focused on working with the business users to outline specific application requirements, the documenting those requirements and the test plans that will be executed to ensure requirements are met. The Analyst will work with development resources to ensure success of application changes and will manage the Unit, Acceptance, and User-Acceptance testing processes for all application releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with users (including management) to translate requests into documented business requirements
  • Complete business analysis of Crane Stationery business processes and while identifying opportunities for IT enablement and improvement
  • Work with application developers to ensure understanding of the business requirements
  • Develop test plans for application changes and regression testing
  • Manage the Unit, Acceptance, and User-Acceptance cycles prior to application releases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of experience in systems / business analyst position with an IT applications team
  • 3+ years’ experience managing and enacting test plans
  • Must be detailed oriented, thorough and focused
  • Good time management skills to meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple project and support commitments
  • Strong mix of business and technical background
  • Demonstrated effective relationships with business community
  • Strong written and oral communications skills required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience writing software requirements documentation
  • Experience developing test plans
  • Extensive experience executing test plans
  • Experience leading User Acceptance Testing efforts
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL
  • Experience with Project Management, SAP Business Objects, and JD Edwards is preferred
  • Must be able to pass and maintain security clearance through the US Treasury Department
