MECHANICAL DESIGNER/ESTIMATOR -PITTSFIELD, MA AREA
Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Designer/Estimator with a “make it happen” mindset to add to their team. This engineering position is responsible for creative design, estimating, and project management. Join their team and realize the opportunity to be inventive– designing and developing products for their biggest customers.

In this versatile role, you will serve as a key contributor within their busy, hands on engineering team. You’ll enjoy the autonomy of seeing your projects from conception to production.

Specific Responsibilities:
 Design and development of new products and redesign of existing products.
 Apply Project Management skills including timelines, objectives and measurable targets.
 Moving the design into the production environment by generating a complete bill of materials
 Monitor and ensure safety, quality and manufacturability in the development of key processes.

Minimum Requirements:
 2 year Technical Degree; 4 year Degree, a plus (will consider applicable experience)
 CAD Experience
 Shop floor manufacturing experience including working knowledge of production processes
 Microsoft Excel experience
 Strong mathematics background
 Hands on experience
 Ability to work with machine operators
 Strong attention to detail
 Effective communication and presentation skills
 Able to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
