MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIR PERSON

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES – GARAGE DIVISIO

The City of Pittsfield is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Motor Equipment Repairman with the DPU – Garage Division. The skilled candidate will inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and motorized equipment. The candidates will also perform preventative maintenance such as lubrication, oil & filter changes, checking antifreeze, and other related duties as assigned. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, two (2) years’ experience in motor equipment repair, and a valid Massachusetts class B commercial driver’s license. Within 6 months of employment, applicant must obtain Tanker & Hazardous Materials endorsements to the CDL, as well as a Hydraulics License (1C, 2A, and 3A attachments).

40 hours

Monday-Friday

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

$18.27 per hour
