The City of Pittsfield’s Department of Public Health is currently accepting applications for a part-time Public Health Nurse.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Health assessment, prevention of the spread of communicable disease, emergency planning, and all public health responsibilities as mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The Public Health Nurse shall also maintain the communicable disease surveillance system through follow-up of disease reports and investigations, enforcement of isolating and quarantine regulations, and control of outbreaks. Other services include in home visits, immunization and screening clinics, and community outreach and education.

To qualify, the successful candidate must be a Licensed Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration with a minimum of two years’ experience in Public Health Nursing. Candidates with Bachelor of Science degree and experience with MAVEN preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.

28 Hours per week
Flexible schedule, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
Salary: $25.21 – $28.24 per hour.
