SENIOR CLERK TYPIST
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICES – HIGHWAY DIVISION
The City of Pittsfield is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Clerk Typist within the Highway division of the DPS. The senior clerk typist will perform a variety of clerical/administrative tasks to support office policy and procedure, requiring a moderate level of decision making. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: payroll functions; preparation of forms and reports; answering phone calls; handling public and internal inquiries; mail distribution; maintaining databases; and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
The successful candidate must be well organized and highly motivated, deal effectively and professionally with the public, and possess excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Candidates must also have thorough knowledge of Microsoft office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other computer software programs.
Monday-Friday, 40 Hours
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $13.65 per hour
