This page describes some skills that I previously had as well as how they have put to use and strengthened!

Throughout my educational years I feel as if I have gathered skills that will prove to be useful in the future. These skills were obtained in a variety of ways, some were from completing assignments while others were simply from interactions and experiences that I have experienced. Some of these skills include organization, strong communication and time management as well as working well alongside peers and team members.

The first skill is organization, this is something I have always had come easily to me because I function best when I keep everything structured and organized. This can include the use of planners and to do lists, which also tie into my time management skills, or keeping everything categorized into their own separate needs.

As I mentioned, time management is something I feel like I also do well with. I am always able to complete assignments/tasks on time, and often in advance. This has helped me over the years both in and out of school because I find it an important skill to have for everyday life. Participating in fully online classes, such as the Liberal Arts Capstone, helped to utilize my use of organization since you are partially on your own.

Many of these skills were strengthened in my time in the Liberal Arts program, particularly in the team project I took part in. It took a lot of strong communication to be able to complete a project that involved others, especially when it is entirely web based. At times it was challenging however I feel as if I came out of it with strengthened communication abilities as well as learning more about how to work with others in order to succeed.
