Welcome to Exploring Society Blog: A forum for discussing issues in contemporary society from a sociological perspective.

This blog is designed to encourage my students in the Introduction to Sociology 105 course to keep up with the readings and to engage with the course content. It is hoped that this blog be a focal point for the continual discussion of the issues raised in each lecture/presentation topic. In this blog a narrated PowerPoint presentation will be placed for students to review before a class. The PowerPoint will be in the form of guided notes in that students will be expected to fill in the gaps with information from the required readings. Students are invited to post comments in response to a blog discussion topic.
You are invited to place comments, questions and participate in the discussions.
