Welcome to BCC’s Spanish “Wikiblog” !

Mike "Jota Jota" Van Deusen and Sarah Hoecker teaching one another about their adopted countries. Group Work ~ Students teach one another.

Group work in our Language Lab (*FRED*)!

Why do we call this a “Wikiblog” ? Usually, a blog has a single author and a wiki has many.  We are hoping you will contribute, either by posting comments (in English or Spanish!) or by creating PowerPoint learning presentations on Spanish vocabulary, grammar or culture that you are learning.  Many students have already  participated by posting audio or video to Voicethreads for their classes.

In the meantime, feel free to explore the rich variety of pages and posts.  Let us know what you think!  We are eager to receive your input on how to improve this Wikiblog.

For BCC Spanish students: Look for your course page to find syllabi for your courses under the menu for Clases de español, at the top of any of the pages on this wikiblog.  From there, you will be able to link to the online resources that give you access to homework assignments, learning tools, tutorials, audio and video materials that correspond to your textbooks.

Check out the Spanish Language Toybox, (on the sidebar, under Categories) a language learning archive filled with PowerPoint presentations on vocabulary, grammar and culture and learning games that will stimulate your curiosity help you study!

To see the progress students have made in Spanish over a semester, a year or more, visit the Voicethread pages for last year’s Spanish classes.  There, you can view the audio and video posts students create in Spanish. Youwill have the opportunity to create and post materials of your own to help you and present and future Spanish students communicate more effectively (and more fluently) in Spanish…  :-)

~ NOTE ~ BCC is GREENING !!

For this reason, we request that you NOT PRINT OUT syllabi and other materials you find on this site while you are ON CAMPUS !!
