CleanSlate is currently seeking a Medical Assistant/Practice Administrator for our Pittsfield, MA location. This position will be full time, 40 hours a week. This position is 8:30-5 on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s, 8:30-8pm on Tuesday’s, and Friday’s 8:30am-2pm..

Job Functions

* Monitor clinic schedule for arrival of patients and retrieves patient from lobby after check-in is complete in a fast paced medical office.
* Must be able to multi-task.
* Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, float as needed.
* Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
* Ability to perform phlebotomy.
* Displays respectful and caring attitude towards patients at all times.
* Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
* Checking in/out patients.
* Scheduling patient appointments.
* Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
* Answering in-coming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
* Determination of office supplies/items on a weekly basis.
* Functions at the highest level of customer service, compassion and professionalism to internal and external patients and customers.
* Other tasks as needed by Providers and Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED
* Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
* One year of experience preferred.
* Must have previous experience with EMR and Telecommunication systems.
* Experience preferred with patient scheduling; AdvancedMD a plus.
* Must have an advanced knowledge of and strict adherence to HIPAA, and general appropriate conduct governing patient confidentiality.

SENIOR SUPERVISOR: TECHNICAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Technology leader for the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s public library; supervises the Technical Services Department responsible for acquisitions, cataloging, classification, and processing of all library materials; coordinates library’s automated operations; and supervises both full and part time staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

Masters degree in library science; dynamic and self motivated; experience in cataloging and/or technical services in an automated library environment including knowledge of national content and descriptive standards (AACR2/RDA, MARC, and Dewey Classification). Light physical effort is required in performing the duties of this position under typical library conditions including intermittent standing, walking, bending and reaching, reading printed material, communicating orally and via normal telephone connections, and lifting light loads of up to twenty pounds from the floor to positions overhead.

HOURS AVAILABLE:

This full‑time position working thirty‑five hours each week becomes available July 1, 2016.

SALARY: As a Senior Supervisor, this position is a grade level 11, with a salary range of $35,394 to $51,903 in fourteen steps, plus a generous benefit package.

Sr. Special Programs Coordinator – Service & Civic Learning

Coordinate and direct daily operations of service and civic learning program opportunities. Estimated salary range: $54,1332 – $57,065 with benefits. Effective Spring 2016.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead initiative to recognize and increase civic learning opportunities consistent with Massachusetts Board of Higher Education’s Vision Project goal of preparing students to be responsible citizens.
  • Recruit and train service-learning students (i.e., by new student orientations and class presentations).
  • Organize and facilitate Service Learning Club meetings.
  • Place students in service sites.
  • Prepare and monitor service learning budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate assigned service learning staff including work-study students.
  • Promote professional development for faculty in service and civic learning.
  • Work with faculty to increase service and civic learning opportunities for students.
  • Develop community site placements with faculty and community partners.
  • Review and update service and civic learning policies and procedures.
  • Develop and document service and civic learning activities necessary for BCC to qualify for President’s National Community Service Honor Roll.
  • Lead faculty and staff work necessary to prepare BCC application for Carnegie Classification.
  • Participate in campus activities that support service and civic learning (such as strategic planning, Diversity Committee, etc.).
  • Participate in community activities that support service and civic learning (such as Pittsfield Promise Committee, Asset Based Community Development Sub-Committee, etc.).
  • Convene Service Learning Advisory Board and provide recognition events for community partners.
  • Attend statewide meetings appropriate for service and civic learning.
  • Collaborate with faculty, community partners, and Office of Institutional Effectiveness to track participation and to assess learning outcomes in courses with service and/or civic learning (using student surveys, site evaluation of student performance, faculty survey, site visits, etc.).
  • Promote service and civic learning through BCC website, BCC Facebook page, and PR materials.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Marketing, Education Administration, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years’ experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include business management, program/project management, grant administration, budget development, community relations, curriculum development, education, counseling, substance abuse, non-traditional student services, or public assistance programs.
  • Strong sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population in an open enrollment environment.
  • Record of success working with traditional students as well as adult learners.
  • Demonstrated positive, collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners to cultivate student placement opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Relevant computer skills, including appropriate use of current and emerging social media applications and software programs supporting student success.
  • Availability to work occasional weekend or early evening hours.

Homelife Support Counselor

Our Residential Services program is expanding and we have several new opportunities including Homelife Support Counselor (“HLSC”). The HLSC works closely with a 3-4 individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injury in a group home setting. The HLSC assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and recreational activities.
