We’re looking for a Typographer to join our Graphic Services team, based in North Adams, Massachusetts. Customers look to the expertise of Crane Stationery typographers to help them produce a very personal product. Typographers ensure that each customer needs’ are met when selecting from our albums or creating a product of their own vision. Typographers must understand the printing process to translate pressroom capabilities to the judgments and decisions required when processing customer orders.

Individuals in this role will work a first shift schedule of Monday – Friday with seasonal overtime. The starting wage for this role is $13.66 per hour.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Graphic Arts, along with 1-2 years work experience in a production printing environment. They are proficient in Adobe InDesign, can navigate other software such as QuarkXPress and CorelDRAW, and have tested typing skills (adjusted) of 45 w.p.m. or greater. They have strong proofreading skills, retain an excellent command of standard English, and have the ability to become an expert in social etiquette.

The chosen candidate will receive an extensive training period and at its’ completion will be expected to work independently with minimal oversight, meeting production deadlines with overtime as required.
