Goal

 

To find a position in an organization where I can use my education, language, and interpretative skills to welcome and help clients, customers, or students understand both the benefits available to them and the expectations for how to effectively access and utilize them.  The ideal position would build on my training and experience in early childhood education, home-based health care. and medical interpretation skills.

Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogota Colombia.  Considered the top University in Colombia.  Studies focused on Religious Education and home-based infant and child care.  B.A. 2000.

 

Conservatory de Musica, Neiva, Colombia.  Focused on Voice and Opera. 1998-1999

 

Instituto Promoción Social-Neiva – A technical high school in Neiva, Colombia, its curriculum focuses on a) social development of families and children; and b) machine technologies.  Graduated in 1994

Work History

 

1994-1996: La Compañía Misionera del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.  Served as a religious education instructor in remote Colombian communities between graduating from high school and starting college.

 

From 2000-2010, Employed by the Secretary of Education – Neiva, Colombia. Worked as a primary school teacher in a series of mostly rural, remote communities:

gardening and home-based healthcare:
