Much of the work I do varies and I try to keep my interests broad as I believe inspiration can be drawn from anything. Like many, my interest in creating started through drawing at a young age. I spent a lot of my time aimlessly doodling and studying form, shape and lighting.
As I have gotten older my work has evolved into new mediums and I hope to continue this. I am always seeking new processes and perspectives to apply to my work and personal life. I think much of artmaking and it’s approach is universal despite how niche the technical aspects can relating to the work being done.
When creating things I keep in mind is the degradation of media, color, and world building. I have always found diminishing quality in artwork to be intriguing. Whether that be through the object of which the work is portrayed upon, its environment, or within the very technique of the work itself or the static and noise from reducing quality in a waveform. I have always been drawn to the honesty in more tactile presentation and the nostalgia from bit-crushed sounds and noisy ambience. I also love seeing a world being built, this can be done through so many ways and, to me, it is always exciting to feel as if you’ve discovered something you don’t quite understand yet.
