Leadership
Through my work as a Teaching Assistant, I have learned how to inspire and motivate people, and how to gain respect amongst my peers.
Critical, Creative, and Strategic Thinking
In the Liberal Arts course, the emphasis is largely on independent thinking, and it is up to the student to decide how deep they are willing to go. I always strive to push myself, in the desire to reach my greatest potential.
Written and Oral Communication
In my English Composition 1 course and my Liberal Arts course, I excelled with the oral presentation projects. I know how to engage with an audience effectively, and when I deliver a presentation it is with a calm and self-assured ease which stems from years of experience in the performing arts.
Global Awareness and Historical Context
In my World History Before 1500 course, I was taught about cultures from every continent, and how people around the globe developed civilization in a variety of ways. In addition, great emphasis was placed on the “bigger picture,” connecting these ancient people to our present and demonstrating the importance of learning from History, something I am incredibly passionate about.
