Summary: Yesterday’s forecast still holds, for the most part, with one significant change. It appears that the strongest upper-level forcing (divergence in the jet stream wind field), and thus the greatest upward motion in the atmosphere (vertical velocity) will be focused to our north tonight. As a result, the heaviest rain will also fall to our north. Instead of 0.50″ of rain it now looks more like 0.10 to 0.25″. It is still looking like a fairly nice fall weekend with good amounts of sunshine both days, although a bit cooler on Sunday.
