Paper: Slow Down Your Style: Fast Fashion and Its Effects

This paper was my final project for my senior year dual enrollment Comp 101 class. The assignment was to create a ten-page research paper and presentation about a current or controversial topic of our choosing. This is the paper portion of my project, where I discuss the rise of fast fashion, what it is, and how it affects us.

Paper: Talking Heads – Remain In Light (Album Review)

This paper was another Comp 101 project, made as the culminating project for a unit exploring journalism. We were tasked to create a review about anything of our choice. I decided to write a music magazine esque album review. I really enjoyed working on this paper and the result, especially being able to combine my love of music and writing.

Paper: Romantic Poetry: Preface in Practice

A more traditional English literature paper, written for my World Lit course. This paper uses William Wordsworth’s Preface as a background for exploring elements of romantic poetry found in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s Frost at Midnight.

Presentation: Creativity and Mental Health

Finally, my most recent large project which was made for my Honors Intro to Psychology class. For this project we were allowed to explore any topic of our interest related to psychology. I decided to explore the relationship between mental health and creativity, specifically the widely held belief about mental health struggles leading to or being in direct relation with creative genius. Similarly to the album review, I enjoyed being able to connect our in class discussions with a topic and subject that personally hold a lot of value and meaning. This is the slideshow that accompanied my in-class presentation about my findings.
