“It was a pleasure to burn,” begins Ray Bradbury’s science fiction classic, Fahrenheit 451. In celebration of Pittsfield’s Big Read, the BCC library will display over 50 works appearing on the American Library Association’s Banned and Challenged Classics list. Highlighting Bradbury’s theme of censorship, the display represents well-known titles that have come under fire at libraries, schools and communities for decades. Come celebrate your intellectual freedom and check out a challenged book at the BCC library from April 1^st through 30^th.
